Road closure: Rectory Street between Florence Street and Little Simcoe Street

Starting, Tuesday, October 10, Rectory Street will be closed between Florence Street and Little Simcoe Street to facilitate the removal of the abandoned railroad tracks on Rectory Street, until approximately Friday, October 27.

During this time, a signed detour will be in place for drivers using Florence Street, Egerton Street and Hamilton Road. Access to nearby properties, businesses and residences will be maintained during this work, with access to the BMO Centre available through Florence Street.

People driving through the area are advised to plan ahead by using navigation apps such as Waze or Google Maps and use alternative routes when possible to reach their destination.

Some sidewalk closures and restrictions may be required during this work. People walking are advised to use nearby streets to reach their destination.
