Huron Street between Veterans Memorial Parkway and Clarke Road will be closed beginning Wednesday, June 2 until approximately the end of the day on Monday, June 7. This closure is to allow crews to place surface asphalt along the road as part of the Veterans Memorial Parkway Northward Extension project.
East and westbound traffic on Huron Street will be directed north around the closure using Veterans Memorial Parkway and Clarke Road. Signage has been placed in the area to notify drivers about the road closure.
Some additional asphalt work will also be scheduled the week of June 7 along Clarke Road in the area as part of this project.
Motorists traveling through this area should expect delays while construction is underway. Drivers are reminded to consider downloading the Waze app for assistance finding an alternate route.
