Road Closure: Highbury Avenue North at the rail crossing south of Florence Street

Highbury Avenue North at the rail crossing just south of Florence Street will be closed to all road users beginning Wednesday August 25 at 7 am until approximately the end of the day on August 26. This closure is to allow CN Rail to make necessary repairs to the railway crossing in the area.

During this time, a signed detour will be in effect for motorists. North and southbound vehicles travelling through the area will be detoured through Dundas Street, Clarke Road, and Trafalgar Street.

Cyclists and pedestrians are encouraged to use nearby streets to avoid this closure and reach their destination on the other side of the railway tracks.

Access will be maintained to local businesses and residences, but road users will not be able to cross the railway tracks during this closure.

Motorists are advised to check if their commute is impacted, and to plan ahead by using the Waze app.
