Beginning on Monday, November 14, 2022, Clarke Road will be closed between Oxford Street East and Cheapside Street to allow CN Rail to make necessary repairs to the railway crossing immediately north of Oxford Street East. The road will be fully closed until approximately the end of day on Friday, November 18, 2022.
During this time, motorists travelling through the area will be detoured around the closure using Oxford Street East, Veterans Memorial Parkway and Huron Street. Drivers are advised to expect delays.
Temporary sidewalk closures will be in place on Clarke Road and pedestrians are encouraged to use alternative routes to reach their destinations.
Access will be maintained to local businesses and residences, while CN Rail completes this work.
Motorists are advised to check if their commute is impacted, and to plan ahead by using navigational tools such as Waze and Google Maps.
