Starting Tuesday, February 28, Municipal Compliance Services will initiate a proactive apartment pilot inspection program in partnership with the London Fire Department.
The purpose of this citywide initiative is to ensure apartment buildings are being maintained to the specifications of the Property Standards, Vital Services, Yard and Lot Maintenance By-laws, and Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997.
The goal of the program is to educate landlords and tenants on property and fire prevention standards enforcement, and ultimately ensure the health and safety of tenants across the city.
