Lane Restrictions: Fanshawe Park Road East between Adelaide Street North and Hastings Drive

Starting Monday, April 25, 2022, the City of London will begin the final phase of construction of the Fanshawe Park Road Active Transportation Improvements. This work will require lane restrictions on westbound Fanshawe Park Road East between Adelaide Street North and Hastings Drive, which will be in effect until approximately mid-June.

Motorists can expect delays when travelling through the area and are encouraged to plan ahead by using navigation tools such as Waze or Google Maps.

The existing bike lane on the north side of Fanshawe Park Road will be closed during this work, and cyclists are encouraged to use alternate routes to reach their destinations. Temporary sidewalk restrictions will also be in effect in the area and pedestrians are encouraged to use nearby streets to avoid these closures.

Transit users are advised to visit the LTC website for service updates and detours.

Fanshawe Park Road Active Transportation Improvements will help cyclists travel safely through the city’s north end and improve transit accessibility. Five of six phases for this project were completed last year, and the final phase is expected to be completed by mid-June this year. The project will resurface and realign asphalt cycling lanes, remove or relocate bus bays, and replace sidewalks to improve accessibility where required.
