King Street between Talbot Street and the Covent Garden Market’s Parking Garage to Reopen to Traffic

King Street between Talbot Street and the Covent Garden Market’s parking garage entrance will reopen to east-bound vehicle and bicycle traffic by the end of today.

The King Street protected bike lane, as well as the south sidewalk in this area will also reopen this afternoon.

This block of King Street had been temporarily closed for two weeks as crews connected utility services to the new 32-storey residential building being built downtown at 131 King Street. During this work, access to the Covent Garden Market’s parking garage was maintained and accessed using Covent Market Place.

The work is now complete and the road will be reopened for residents who may be visiting businesses or the Covent Garden Market this weekend.
