Intersection closures: Brydges Street and Hale Street, Wavell Street and Saskatoon Street September 1 – 2

Starting Thursday, September 1, at 7 a.m., the intersections of Brydges and Hale Streets and Wavell and Saskatoon Streets will be closed to all traffic until 7 p.m. on Friday, September 2, as work progresses on the Brydges Street Reconstruction project. The closures are required for crews to activate new traffic signals, remove temporary hardware, and make the roadways more accessible for traffic ahead of the return to school next week.

A signed detour for motorists will be in place along Highbury Avenue, Dundas Street, and Clarke Road.  LTC detours will be in effect during the closures, and transit riders are advised to visit the LTC detours webpage to learn more about impacted routes and stops. Current levels of pedestrian access will be maintained through both intersections.

Residents and businesses are reminded that on-street parking remains an option on Brydges Street, Hale Street, and Wavell Street, including overnight.
