NOTICE OF CANCELLATION – PUBLIC MEETING

Notice of Cancellation – Public Participation Meeting – File: O-9647 – Amendment to the Industrial Lands Community Improvement Plan has been cancelled. 3055 Dingman Drive & 4313 Wellington Road South – The purpose and effect of this Official Plan and zoning change is to broaden the existing permitted uses to include light industrial uses, such as warehousing/distribution, self-storage and craft brewing. Possible amendment to the Official Plan to add specific policy to allow light industrial uses in the Shopping Area Place Type. Possible change to Zoning By-law Z.-1 FROM an Associated Shopping Area (ASA3/ASA5/ASA6(3)/ASA7(1)/ASA8(11)) zone TO a Associated Shopping Area Special Provision (ASA3(_)* ASA5(_)*ASA6(3)(_)* ASA7(1)(_)*ASA8(11)(_)*) Zone. 3637 Colonel Talbot Road - The purpose and effect of this zoning change is to facilitate the development of a 2.5 storey townhouse development, containing 30 units in total at a density of 27 units per hectare. The proposed development would infill the vacant lands at the rear of the subject detached dwelling lot. Possible change to Zoning By-law Z.-1 FROM a Holding Residential R1 (h-17/R1-16/OS4) Zone to a Residential R1 Special Provisions and Residential R5 Special Provisions (R1-14(_)R5-2(_)) Zone. If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Corporation of the City of London or of the Approval Authority to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of London before the application is adopted or approved, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision. 
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of London before the proposed amendment is adopted or approved, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.

MINOR VARIANCES

The Committee of Adjustment for the City of London will be held electronically and attendance by the Committee members will be virtual on Thursday November 23, 2023, commencing at 1:30 p.m., for the purpose of hearing the following applications for Minor Variance to Zoning By-law Z.-1. To permit a residential garage width of 92% of the main building façade width, whereas 50% is the maximum permitted. To permit a south interior side yard setback of 1.0m, whereas 2.3m is the minimum required. To permit an east rear yard setback of 1.0m, whereas 2.3m is the minimum required.

1:30 p.m. – A.136/23 - 857-859 Dundas Street, PLAN 413 LOT 11. To facilitate the reconstruction of the existing accessory structure for two additional dwelling units. To permit dwelling units on ground floor without other permitted uses in the front portion of the ground floor.

NOTICE OF HERITAGE DESIGNATION BY-LAWS -TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council of The Corporation of the City of London at its meeting on October 17, 2023 passed By-law No. L.S.P.-3513-290 to designate 1350 Wharncliffe Road South as being of cultural heritage value or interest pursuant to the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990.

A copy of the by-law may be obtained from the Office of the City Clerk by emailing DocServices@london.ca or phoning 519-661-CITY (2489) ext. 0916.

Any person who objects to the by-law may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) by serving a notice of appeal on the Tribunal and City Clerk within 30 days of the date of publication of the notice of passing of the by-law. A notice of appeal must set out the objection to the by-law and reasons in support of the objection, accompanied by the fee charged by the Tribunal. NOTICE OF PUBLIC PARTICIPATION MEETING - 2024-2027 User Fees and Charges By-law - November 21, 2023, not to be heard before 4:05 PM, Council Chambers, City Hall, 300 Dufferin Ave., London ON. The Strategic Priorities and Policy Committee will hold a public participation meeting to receive delegations and their comments regarding the City of London’s 2024-2027 User Fees and Charges By-law. The Fees and Charges By-law sets out fees and charges that will be collected by The Corporation of the City of London for services provided by Services Areas throughout the Corporation.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC UPDATE MEETING: Argyle Core Area Streetscape Master Plan - The City of London is hosting a public update meeting about the Argyle Core Area Streetscape Master Plan.

Vehicle parking is provided at the East Lions Community Centre. Cyclists can lock their bikes at bike lockups at the East Lions Community Centre. Bus riders can get off at London Transit stop #1908.

The meeting will include a presentation followed by an opportunity to provide feedback to the project team. The materials presented at the meeting will also be posted online afterwards to the project’s Get Involved website, at getinvolved.london.ca/ArgyleStreetscape

About the project

The City is preparing a Streetscape Master Plan for the Argyle Core Area on Dundas Street between Highbury Avenue North and just east of Wavell Street. 

The Streetscape Master Plan will be a high-level design guideline that will encompass design enhancements for the street, along with potential opportunities and investments to improve the pedestrian realm and public space in this area. The plan will also include considerations for streetscape furniture, beautification initiatives through green infrastructure, and potential connections to adjacent communities and parkland for different modes of transportation that aligns with the vision set out in the Argyle Community Improvement Plan.
