PUBLIC PARTICIPATION MEETING PROCESS

Anyone wishing to speak at a Public Participation Meeting can do so virtually using Zoom online or phone, or by attending in person. City Hall is currently open to the public for public participation meetings. If you wish to attend in person to speak to a matter that is on an agenda you are encouraged to pre-register by email or phone; however, should you wish to attend virtually, pre-registration is required.  To pre-register, please email PPMClerks@london.ca or call 519-661-2489, ext. 7100.  Please note that some Elected Officials may attend the meetings virtually.

The written submissions, including names and contact information and the associated reports arising from the public participation process, will be made available to the public, including publishing on the City's website. If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Corporation of the City of London or of the Approval Authority to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of London before the application is adopted or approved, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of London before the proposed amendment is adopted or approved, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.

MINOR VARIANCES

The Committee of Adjustment for the City of London will be held electronically and attendance by the Committee members will be virtual on Thursday July 13, 2023, no earlier than 1:30 p.m., for the purpose of hearing the following applications for Minor Variance to Zoning By-law Z.-1. The Applicant and/or Authorized Agent, and members of the public can participate in person at City Hall 2nd floor Committee Room # 1, or via zoom by computer, mobile device, or telephone audio. To permit 34 parking stalls whereas 39 parking stalls are required. To permit a maximum balcony projection of 1.8m along Commissioners Road West whereas a maximum balcony projection of 1.5m is permitted.

1:30 p.m. – A.076/23 - 54 Jacqueline Street PLAN 437 BLK R LOT 4. To construct a detached garage. To permit a residential garage width of 104% of the (main) building façade width, whereas 50% is the maximum permitted.

1:30 p.m. – A.077/23 - 6424 Old Garrison Boulevard PLAN 33M755 LOT 5. To permit pool mechanical equipment. To permit Pool Mechanical Equipment with a projection that is no closer than 0.1m to the lot line, whereas 0.9m is the minimum required.

2:00 p.m. - A.078/23 - 226 Cooper Street PLAN 444 LOT 16 PT LOT 17. To permit a single detached dwelling. To permit a front yard setback of 15.8m, whereas 7.5m is the maximum permitted.

 

CONSENTS

The London Consent Authority will be considering the following application for consent. Comments Due by July 6, 2023.

Reason: Permission to sever and convey a lot (Parcel ‘A’) with an area of 270 m² and a frontage of 4.6m and retain a lot (Parcel ‘B’) with an area of 2251.5 m² and a frontage of 38.1m.

CITY COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS - LONDON COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEES - London residents or organization members interested in being considered for appointment to any of the Community Advisory Committees listed below are asked to obtain, complete and return an application by no later than Monday, July 10, 2023, by 9:00 am. The application form is available on the City’s website at Advisory Committees | City of London; or by telephoning 519-661-2489 ext. 4599.

*Most meetings meet monthly, and the length of meetings shall vary depending on the agenda. Meetings of working groups that have been formed by the Committee may meet at any time and at any location and are in addition to the regular meetings of the Committee.  All meetings are hybrid meetings.

Animal Welfare Community Advisory Committee

Vacancy – up to 8 (eight) appointments available - Members at Large with an interest or background in animal welfare.
