PUBLIC PARTICIPATION MEETING PROCESS

Anyone wishing to speak at a Public Participation Meeting can do so virtually using Zoom online or phone, or by attending in person. City Hall is currently open to the public in limited capacity for public participation meetings. If you wish to attend in person to speak to a matter that is on an agenda you are encouraged to pre-register by email or phone. Please note that the majority of Elected Officials attend the meetings virtually.

MINOR VARIANCES

The Committee of Adjustment for the City of London will meet on Thursday February 24, 2022, commencing at 1:30 p.m., for the purpose of hearing the following applications for Minor Variance to Zoning By-law Z.-1. Due to the COVID-19 emergency in the Province of Ontario, public hearings before the committee will be held virtually. Those who wish to attend the public hearing, or to provide written submissions regarding the matter should contact CoAregister@london.ca / CofAsubmit@london.ca Secretary - Treasurer, London Committee of Adjustment at 519-930-3500 by 4:30 p.m. the day before the committee meeting. 1:30 p.m. – A.001/22 - 3830 Auckland Avenue, PLAN 33M802 LOT 34, east side of Auckland Avenue, south of Byers Street. To construct a single detached dwelling. To permit a north exterior side yard setback of 1.2m, whereas 4.5m is the minimum required.

1:30 p.m. – A.003/22 - 6 Napier Street, PLAN 258 LOT 5 N/S CUMMINGS RP 33R5282 PARTS 8 & 9, west side of Napier Street, north of Cummings Avenue.  To construct an addition (attached garage). To permit a front yard setback of 3.4m (11.2ft), whereas 9.5m (31.2ft) is the minimum required. REQUESTS:  To permit a covered storage area interior side yard setback of 0.4m (1.3ft), whereas 1.2m (3.9ft) is the minimum required. To permit an accessory structure within the exterior side yard, whereas accessory structures are not permitted within the exterior side yard.

If you wish to be notified of a decision of the Committee of Adjustment, you must appear in person or by Counsel at the hearing and file a written request with the Secretary-Treasurer of the Committee of Adjustment.  An appeal from a decision of the Committee of Adjustment to the Ontario Land Tribunal shall be filed within 20 days of making the decision. Any appeal must be filed with the Secretary-Treasurer of the Committee of Adjustment, in person at 6th Floor, City Hall, 300 Dufferin Ave., London, ON, or Mail to City of London, P.O. CONSENTS

The London Consent Authority will be considering the following application for consent no earlier than Comments Due by February 10, 2022.

B.003/22– 150-154 Hale Street - Request to sever the rear portions of 150, 152 and 154 Hale Street for the purpose of constructing 1 new single detached dwelling on each of the 2 newly created lots. Planner: A. Singh ext.7153

If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the City of London Consent Authority in respect of the proposed consent does not make written submissions to the Consent Authority, before it gives or refuses to give a provisional consent, the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT)  may dismiss the appeal. If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Consent Authority in respect of the proposed consent you must make a written submission to the City of London Consent Authority, 300 Dufferin Avenue, 6th Floor, London, Ontario, N6A 4L9. Public Update Meeting - Victoria Bridge Replacement

As the City of London prepares to replace Victoria Bridge in spring 2022, we are hosting a virtual public update meeting on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 5 p.m., for residents and businesses to learn about the project and the plans for construction. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer period.
Victoria Bridge is located on Ridout Street South over the Thames River, south of Horton Street East. The project includes road work on Ridout Street extending from the Horton Street intersection to Ingleside Place, and a temporary active transportation bridge.
