Upcoming Public Update Meeting for Hyde Park and Sunningdale Intersection Improvement Project

The City of London is preparing for the reconstruction of the intersection at Hyde Park Road and Sunningdale Road West, beginning Spring 2021. This reconstruction includes the introduction of a roundabout and improvements to the active transportation infrastructure, which include cycling facilities and pedestrian sidewalks on both sides of the roadway.

The City is hosting an online public meeting on Thursday, January 21, 2021, from 5-7p.m. to give an update on the project, and present details pertaining to construction impacts. This meeting will be followed by a two-week question period from January 22 to February 5, 2021 for residents and commuters to ask any questions regarding how construction will impact them. The meeting will be recorded and posted online on the City’s Get Involved website following the live event.

While the latest project information would typically be presented at an in-person public update meeting, adjustments are being made to ensure public safety and to follow COVID-19 restrictions on public gatherings.

On Thursday, January 21, 2021, the City of London will present via videoconference using the Zoom platform. A link to the meeting will be provided on the City of London’s Get Involved website, at getinvolved.london.ca/hyde-sunningdale. This is a chance to:

  • Get an update on the project
  • View visualizations of intersection improvements planned for the area
  • View urban design elements being considered
  • Learn more about plans for construction
  • Participate in a question and answer period with the project team

On January 21, the latest project information and materials will be made available on Get Involved. The website also has a question and answer feature for visitors to get timely responses to any questions or concerns they may have from the project team.

We recognize that not everyone will be able to access this information online. If you require any special accommodation to access the project information or online material, please contact the City project contact listed below, and we will work together to best share the information with you.
