Blackfriars Bridge reopens to vehicles on November 26

Blackfriars Bridge will reopen to eastbound motor vehicles on Friday, November 26. Blackfriars Bridge, closed to cars as part of COVID-19 physical distancing measures, will reopen while a usage study is conducted to evaluate how the bridge will be used long-term.

Signage will be installed to alert users of the changes. Everyone who uses the bridge is reminded to be mindful of this change.

The usage study will include traffic analysis and public engagement, and will consider factors that include climate change, transportation equity, community impacts and visitor experiences. Londoners interested in Blackfriars Bridge are encouraged to visit getinvolved.london.ca/blackfriarsbridge to sign up to receive email updates. Residents can also submit questions, comments, or ideas through this website at any time.
