Canada Day 2024

The City of London and Centro by Old Oak will present music and fireworks at Harris Park on Monday, July 1, to celebrate Canada Day. 

Join emcee Nick Paparella (CTV News London) at The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) Entertainment Zone for an evening full of live entertainment beginning at 7:00 p.m.

7:00 p.m. - Willem James Cowan

8:00 p.m. - Sunshine Makers

9:00 p.m. - London’s RBCxMusic First Up featured artist Saveria 

10:00 p.m. - Fireworks display

Food trucks will also be on site including; Ciao Modern Italian Cuisine, Donut Diva and Rosie's Streetery. 

Road closure information

We strongly recommend that you arrive early to this event to avoid traffic disruptions in the area. Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike or bus to Harris Park for this free event. 

Sunday, June 30 & Monday July 1 closures (all day)

  • Dundas Street between Ridout Street and Wellington Street
  • Talbot Street between King Street and Carling Street. 

Monday, July 1 closures (8 to 11 p.m.)

  • Queens Avenue from Ridout Street North to Riverside Drive and Wharncliffe Road North
  • Ridout Street North from Fullarton Street to King St.  
  • Thames Street from Dundas Street to Harris Park Gate

Queens Bridge and Kensington Bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic starting at 8 p.m on Monday, July 1. Pedestrians will be permitted to walk through Queens Bridge until 9 p.m. The West London Dykes will also be closed near Labatt Park.

Parking information

Those driving downtown for the fireworks are encouraged to park at one of the City’s municipal parking lots nearby Harris Park, including Municipal Lots 12, 21, 6 and 20. Downtown parking locations and parking lot prices can be found on the City’s website. On-street parking meters will be available free of charge on Monday, July 1. 

Alternative transportation

Cyclists and pedestrians can use the Harris Park Entrance at the corner of Dufferin Avenue and Ridout Street North, Dundas Place, Dundas-TVP and Dundas Street Bikeway to reach Harris Park. 

Transit users are advised to visit the LTC website for service updates and detours.

Ivey Park:

The Ivey Park splash pad and Municipal Parking Lot 11 will be closed at 6 p.m. to accommodate for the display. Ivey Park and the public walkway in front of the HMCS Prevost on Becher Street also be closed at 7 p.m.
