NOTICES

Notice of Public Information Centre 1 Oxford Street West Improvements Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study – The City of London is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) study for improvements to Oxford Street West, from Westdel Bourne to Sanatorium Road. This study builds on the City’s 2030 Transportation Master Plan and Cycling Master Plan to develop and review options to widen Oxford Street West from two to four lanes, improve intersection operations including consideration of roundabouts, and improve pedestrian and cycling facilities through the corridor.  In addition to addressing these transportation needs, the study will consider any necessary upgrades and replacement of underground services (watermain, storm, and sanitary sewer), as required.

The study is being carried out in accordance with ‘Schedule C’ requirements of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA), (as amended 2015), which is an approved process under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.

The City will be hosting a virtual Public Information Centre (PIC 1) on April 5, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to present and gather community feedback on the problems and opportunities in the study area, existing conditions, alternative solutions, and next steps. The virtual meeting will be held on Zoom and will consist of a presentation about the study and a live question-and-answer session with the project team. The PIC presentation and a recording of the meeting will be posted on the study website following the event.
