About the project
The City is planning to reconstruct the Hyde Park and Sunningdale Road intersection in Spring 2021 by installing a two-lane roundabout which will improve comfort and safety for all road users, help accommodate existing and future travel demand and will be more aesthetically-pleasing due to landscaping in the central island.

About the project
The City is planning to reconstruct the Hyde Park and Sunningdale Road intersection in Spring 2021 by installing a two-lane roundabout which will improve comfort and safety for all road users, help accommodate existing and future travel demand and will be more aesthetically-pleasing due to landscaping in the central island.
As part of this project, the City of London will also install active transportation elements which include:
Sidewalks and street lighting along all four corners of the intersection to improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians
In-boulevard bike lanes to better accommodate cyclists of all ages and abilities
This project will also upgrade underground infrastructure such as installing storm sewers which will help accommodate future growth.
When completed, this roundabout will be a safe and vital link in the City's transportation network.
