GMIS Update for 2011-2028
The Growth Management Implementation Strategy (GMIS) helps to guide London’s
growth in an orderly manner by balancing the needs of growth with the costs
of extending major new servicing. Staff have committed to annually review
and update the GMIS schedule of works in order to adjust for the pace of
growth and provide input towards capital budgets. The original GMIS was
endorsed by Council in June 2008 and the schedule of works was incorporated
into the finalized DC Background Study which came into effect with the
passing of the DC By-law in August 2009.
On June 21, 2010 Staff presented the first annual GMIS Update for approval
by Council for use as a guide in setting the 2011 Capital
Program for growth works and future development applications. The GMIS Update incorporated input from developer interviews, updated project
estimates, EESD servicing delivery plans, vacant land inventory data and
current planning applications. GMIS sessions were held with City Staff and
members of the development industry to assess the validity and affordability
of the proposed schedule of works. The GMIS Update report and schedule of
works for CSRF projects from 2011-2028 as presented to Council on June 21,
2010 can be found below.
