A special event is any event held at a City facility or location that is open to the public. Popular special events include road races, walk-a-thons, festivals, parades and outdoor concerts.

The City features two specialty venues available for rental to host private events such as family or corporate barbeques, weddings, birthday parties, business meetings or seminars.
